Many thanx Emko
The potential causes for a PR0 penalty are the same whether you are on a unique domain or a subdomain.
Your best bet would be to do a site search for PR0 and begin reading through all the past threads. There are plenty here that should be able to help you figure out what might have caused the problem.
But what chance do you have of getting a penalty lifted, I picked up a penalty last month and I’ve cleaned the site of anything that could cause this, but is it not better just to start again with a new URL
Before scrapping your site altogether tigger, you can try removing your site from the index using robots.txt for a time. Many have reported good results using this approach.
How do I recover from a penalty? [webmasterworld.com]
Are the PR0 subdomains quite new? (less than two months since they got their links) If so, then Google may not have picked up the incoming links yet. If the domains have had PageRank in the past, then a more serious problem looks likely.
