Does this mean my site's PR doesn't get any "vote" from DMOZ for my keyword phrase? (And for that matter, no "vote" from any site that links to me with non-keyword-rich anchor text.)
Should I register a keyword rich domain and submit that? But then I'd be risking getting penalized for having multiple domains pointing to the same IP, right? Ugh!
I wonder...am I stuck with my non-keyword-rich domain, and thus anchor text that does Nada for my PR?
Thanks! (I'm trying to figure out why other sites are higher in rank when they have same PR, worse on-the-page factors, less inbound links, etc. - I'm starting to think it's my darn non-keyword-rich domain name)
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Go find a couple places with some serious PR and talk them into linking to your place...with the most important kw phrase in the anchor text. A link from Dmoz isn't necessarily very important.
Also anchor text has nothing to do with PageRank, PageRank is calculated seperatly, Anchortext plays a very important roll in the G Algo, but it's not calculated in the PageRank formula.
PR(A) = (1-d) + d (PR(T1)/C(T1) + ... + PR(Tn)/C(Tn))
However a lot of other links have keyword as anchor text.
Have not seen any neagtive outcome because of the above situation.
