Hello.

I've discovered that Lycos directory has been greybared. Have you talked about this?

I don't have the toolbar but I'll have a stab! I think Lycos have changed the way they display the directory and for me dir.lycos.com does not resolve, hence the grey bar. Anyone else?

I am getting a grey bar for the entire dir.lycos.com site (or at least as much as I have looked at).

The only page from it that google seems to have is the Society - Relationships section and it is listed with a different url (one under www.lycos.com).

Was the directory under www.lycos.com before, or has it always been dir.lycos.com?

Not knowing much about Google or PageRank, I'll suggest it's because it's the same as dir.hotbot.lycos.com? The directory data is quite old (July 5), but I've seen worse.

Lycos did used to have the annoying habit of instead of simply adding the new sites in the RDF on top of the old, instead of replacing the old set. Thus, any bad urls removed or replaced on dmoz.org would never be removed from Lycos. Looking now, the site counts are much higher in both Lycos and Hotbot than on dmoz.org, which would seem to indicate that this is still the case. So actually, that might be what's causing Google to deprecate their directory pages.

This is weird: The directory doesn't come up if you type in www.dir.lycos.com
