Google and Domains

Keywords / Phrases in Domains Relevance

Who says domain names with keyword / phrases in them don't have as much relevance as before. I see sites with spammy web addresses playing leap frog with my sites.

Any Comments?

xcandyman, we often don't talk about specific sites (tos)

But in that case, i would believe that the domain expired and had good inbound links etc, and a person/company bought the domain, and that's why it ranks there.
But no one has said that keyword domains doesn't matter anymore, but many opinions is that it doesn't matter as much as it used to do, but it's a still an important part of the algo.

if that'a a members site or a mods site wouldn't like to be in your shoes ;-)

Please read my post carefully and I never said that anyone said keyword / phrase domains dosn't matter any more.

I did a check with the trusty waybackmachine and your assumption was correct it did used to be a actual dentist site. No wonder parents don't like their children going on the internet.

Kinda reminds me of a scene from forest gump i.e Net Nanny.

Just checked the latest SERPS for the site with the www3 and it has been knocked down a few positions. It should be kicked out of the index. Report sent to google on its way.......
