well the descriptions for my site have changed to what they were during the early crawl. I changed my site totally in design and content just after the deep crawl. this has not happened to me before so something must be going down. This would explain my drop in rankin since this old version was not optimised at all. What do you guys think?

From what I have seen my sites pages have been getting updated all month, serp rankings where also up and down like a yo-yo.

The main evet won't happen until link:majorsite is different on all three main databases.

We just need to bite our finger nails for a wee while yet :)

But I hope your right! I'll have my eyes set on Google for the next hour or so... Expecting good things for my site with this next update!

OK I take that back... I'm possibly seeing signs of a start! I could be wrong, but im seeing very small weird things happen in www2 and www3. But this doesnt neccessarily mean its started, could be normal. So i think we best not get our hopes up. (even though its fun to) lol :)

Seeing no changes in cache or backlinks yet though...

Backlinks are the only real way to tell when an update is underway. Now google tends to be updateing pages on a daily basis, moving more towards a fluid index, the update is when back links are re-calculated and page rank is re distributed. Then the entire algo comes into play with the new PR data.

But youre right , it is fun :)

Looks to me like more premature egooglation going on. ;) I'm seeing nothing that isn't normal with everflux.

lol, "premature egoogleation" is that normal for this forum around an update? Do people sometimes usually "jump the gun"?

I'm fairly new, this will be the first time ive been here when an update is happening. :)

Is premature egooglation normal here? Always happens at least several times before an update. This month it is a lot worse. The update now is very much late from when it usually is. Personally, I think some people have been staying up checking backlinks to much, and we now are at the point they are hallucinating them due to sleep deprivation.
