While the real audio speech mentioned in an earlier thread [webmasterworld.com] may not have been anything earth shattering, the Q&A [commonwealthclub.org] session that followed the speech contained a few juicier tidbits...

Q: Sergey, where will Google be in one year?

Brin: The challenges of search are going to continue to increase. Where I'd like to see us is to be able to really answer more complicated questions where it's not just a matter of the same search terms on the same pages, but really starting to use reasoning across multiple data sources and things like that.

A breeze blowing in the direction of increased emphasis on Context and Themes perhaps?

Actually, it doesn't seem that their strategy has changed much since then (besides the quoted figures), but it's still not exactly breaking news... ;)
