I read a suggestion to build a page of content per day and put online daily.
Surely this is an enormous task as you have to upload all pages with links to it as well.
What do you reckon on wordtrackers comprehensive search?
What is Xbox and XP in google?
I read "Submit your site to the engines only every 6 months"
Surely you resubmit after 6 weeks if google doesn’t visit.
After all, they visit you monthly.
So why wait 5 more months if they fail to pick you up?

Validation is W3C.org validation for HTML, CSS, etc > there's a very strong believe that Google and many other search engines, parse or read the structure of a page and will rank upon it, hence W3C is the World Wide Web Consortium, who over the years have gained standard practises, and their here to stay.
Building a page a day is a massive content, only if your site is designed in a manner in which it cannot accomadate it. hence think about the structure of the web site, in which additional pages >Going further than Brett on this one SECTIONS may be needed in the future > another name for this is 'Future proofing'
Wordtrackers, some use it some don't, your call, however, be inventive with the words you put into the search box. I personally you'se adwords, and positiontechs reporting tools.
What is Xbox and XP in google? >>> not sure what this refers too. Possible Microsoft Xbox the games console and Microsfot XP the OS platform.
I submit once and forget about it. As long as you don't break the rules, then you will be OK. Push the wrong buttons, and will either annoy the algo's or the individuals who are editing.
Regarding Brett's post, its pretty spot on.
hope that helps
BTW > Welcome to the Forums.
You have a lot of questions in such a short post, lets see how we go.
>What does this mean "The page should validate?"
Simply that the HTML code should bo correct and in the right order. This is becoming more and more important these days, not only for browsers but also for Search Engine Spiders. Try doing a search (see the search link at the top of the page) for validate or validation and you should find relevant discussion threads.
>build a page ... enormous task
Yep, but then thats what we get paid for. The more effort you put in, the more results you get out.
>What do you reckon on wordtrackers comprehensive search?
I'll leave that to others more expert than me, again try searching for wordtracker and you should find appropriate threads.
>What is Xbox and XP in google?
Don't understand, more information please.
>"Submit your site to the engines only every 6 months" ... resubmit after 6 weeks if google doesn’t visit?
I guess you could, the best way for Google to find you is via a link from another site in the database. So you could also make sure you have such a link and you should be OK. there are various opinions as to which is better, submitting or being found, I'll leave that up to you to decide.
I think Brett is meaning submitt every 6 months just to remind the engines you still exist.
Hope that helps,
Onya

What does this mean "The page should validate?"
There are various levels of valid html code as layed out by "W3C", a consortium to apply standards to web based information.

Not really that difficult. Developing new content "text" is probably the longest part of the whole process. Many webmasters use design templates such that the new web pages has all (internal) outbound links already in the design shell. Making a link to the new page from existing pages (if pressed for time) use absolute URLs (http://www.domain.com/directory/page.html) then it's just copy, paste, save, paste and save and so on.
What do you reckon on wordtrackers comprehensive search? Not sure what you mean, but wordtracker can allow you to get new ideas on new content to target more keywords/keyphrases. As far as accuracy to number of uses (per phrase) I personally cut all value by half. Just because a phrase is used 5,000 times per day doesn't mean all are potential targeted visitors. Many webmaster search to see their own ranked position in results and some SEO comapnies run auto checkers daily for the same reason -- these can be for your competitor who are unlikely to be your qualified visitor.
I read "Submit your site to the engines only every 6 months"I personally don't submit at all and do quite fine. Submitting more, doesn't increase your changes of indexing.

A good tip - links to you increases your chance of being indexed and regularly.

I am struggling with the template idea.
So you have a template with links to page1,2,3
Then you update template with a link to new page 4, change the template to include the new link
Then regenerate all existing pages
And upload all pages?

Your template is all of your hierarchy links. New content would not normally be part of your top level hierarchy unless you are adding a completely new theme/topic.
Example: site is LiteWidgets
top level hierarchy categories/directories are:
Products
Reviews
How to
Your "how to" directory is the one to add new content (each day)
Your main "How to" page has your primary links on at (let say top menu bar).
The body of page has (let say 2 columns with muliple rows) the link to new "How to" pages (left column) a short description in right column.
Each day write new content and paste into the "main page of How To section" and save as a new page.
Once saved, copy new page URL to "How to main page" and a short segment as a description and you're done.
obviously as the content grows you may want to link other pages to new "how to" pages and vice versa example: making a reference on the new "how to" page to a specific product in the product section.
"And that how to make a wooden widget using LiteWidgets pine and maple finishing products" -- pine << links to 1 page and maple << links to another page in product section.
Going the other way -- demonstration on how to use LiteWidgets pine finishing >> and linked to "How to" page.

When Brett was talking about those he meant Microsoft Windows XP Edition and Microsoft Xbox Games Console. He was talking about producing content for products that haven't been released yet. A good idea.
For example, the guys that made Xbox fan sites as soon as they heard the console was in production (like a year in advance of it's release), got a major head start on promoting their site etc. Some of these kids made a lot of money.
