Google spidered my site on Oct 1 and it was in the index for 2 days. The page rank never changed and now the site is not in the search results. It was number 3 for a search on my keywords but when I checked it didn't have a cache of the site. How long does it take for page rank to develope. Also is this common to be in Google a few days then be taken out and can I expect to be put back in. I have over 300 incomming links so I know the spider can find my site. Thanks

It sounds like you were visited by the freshbot. It's been said that a freshbot listing comes and goes.

Do you have the IP of the Googlebot that spidered your site?

Were you in before now? Have you had PR before? Can you find your site in the SERPs now?

Hi W_Dearn

Welcome to WebmasterWorld

Slade is correct. Google is adding new content on a daily basis, but that content only becomes permanent after PR has actually been calculated. That happens about once a month.

If everything goes right, the content you had added on Oct. 1 will show up with some PageRank after the next update towards the end of this month.

W_Dearn I got the same problem as you
15 days before I submit my new website www.domain-name.org in Google

if i look for www.domain-name.org in Google: no results

If I llok for "www.domain-name.org" 5 pages are indexed

but ... oh surprise: when I look at their page rank: PR 0 (No Grey Bar, PR = 0)

does the PR 0 apply BEFORE having a "real" page rank
or is it simply ah horrible penalty?

Thanks a lot
