New to this board, looks great from the reading.
Question is, I'm now into my 6th month after launching a website. It was submitted to google and other search engines 6 months ago.
Normally it takes me maximum three months to be indexed on major engines. After 6 months, still nothing with this particular website.
One of my concerns is that the domain name begins with a digit (www.1example.com).
Would this have an effect on the indexing? At the moment, as of the last few days Google has the URL only on it's index. I don't think I've made a major typo or anything as far as I can see in the meta tags.
Any idea?
I'd double check everything to make sure the site is crawlable by GoogleBot. I'd also work on getting more inbound links so that Google won't ignore you.
Domain name like that won't matter.
A quick check and I don't see anything wrong with your site. Good code, but I can't find any backlinks to your site. Get some links - get some links.
I'd give it one more update, but do go get links. Get a directory link from the ODP and/or Yahoo. Then go find some recip links from like minded sites.
Also try to flush out your content. You need some more pages of info. Try to get up there around 25 pages for starters. Google isn't fond of 5-10 page sites.
I don't see any penalty at all - it's just unindexed.
