How long after index?

Should I worry?

This is my first site that I have launched. After waiting around 6 weeks - Google on the 3rd October spent 22 hours visiting my site 4 or 5 times an hour.

Does anyone know how long it might take before I can see results via Google? 'cause at the moment it's zip!

Thank you - Stpehen Knight

You may appear very soon, but then disappear again. The next new full Google index is around Oct. 25, and hopefully you'll be in that.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld and the Google forum, Stephen.

You can probably expect to be included in the next regular update, which will begin some time during the last 10 days of the month. There are varying numbers of pages included the first time, so if all of yours aren't this time around, just give it time. We announce the update here when it happens and have detailed discussion, so keep watch.

You may see your site appear before then, and it may stay or appear to be gone after a couple of days. That's normal, as you can read in our current Everflux thread:

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Stephen!

Nice to hear you have your first site up and running, now you are going to have to develop that all important webmaster trait - patience :) Google typically spiders your site and then it is included in the index on the following update (roughly a month later). So look for it around the end of the month, if it isn't there already. Search by your domain name to be sure you are indexed first, then try searching with some of the keyword phrases you were hoping to be found with. Good luck!
