Having gone from page one to worthless 10,13,15 + with the new update I have much work to do. That I accept as part of the game. What I find unacceptible are the irrelevent results now on top and other page one results that seem to have scammed their way there.
The number 2 result on my targeted keyphrase has 76 backlinks listed. Checking them, I cannot find one (I did not check them all)that actually links to that number two site. Is this site showing Googlebot a page other than the one that I am seeing? Can't this be detected?
Another site on page one of the targeted results seems to be acquiring expired domains that are already listed in Yahoo or Dmoz in completely unrelated categories and then just putting up a page that directs the surfer to their main page. I presume this increases their PR and is not detectible by the bot.

Perhaps humans do do it better!
