why diffenerent file sizes shown in 2 different googles?

Searching on google.co.uk for <my search terms>, my site has a file size of 11k doing a global search and 7k "for pages in the uk".

I've been adding stuff to it all month. Does this mean that the global db is fresher than the filtered one?

I'm not sure. You might just be connecting to different Google servers with different databases at the moment.

Google have a lot of 'Fresh' listings currently, so you can often find different versions of your page at the same time.
