I'm about to start a new website with lots of highly optimised pages for specific keywords and I would like to know if placing the pages in categorised directories under the root will loose me any page ranking, or likelihood of getting indexed compared to stuffing everything in the root DIR?
Also on a different note if the title of a page is an exact match to the search request with no other words in it will it be ranked higher?
I suppose im asking should I just use the keyphrase and nothing else in my titles?
Thanks
Dave
Is there a limit to how many links i should have on each page?
Not in terms of a human using it.... everything is organised in useful categories... just in terms of googlebot doing a good job with my site!
Thanks once more...
Dave

In regards to links on your page, I don't think there is any difference in regards to the sheer number of links, but its important to note that google will only store the first 101k it comes across on a page.
Though it's believed that higher PR allows for deeper spidering by the bot, I think I read that here anyway :) ...if you had too many links on a page, then there would not be much PR to filter through into these many pages.

Im new to this optimising lark and i want to gain as much info as possible before i design my next site.
I have a site that has a PR of 5, how can i best use that to my advantage on my new site?
If i link the PR5 site to my new site's index page will that help? What about if i also add some links to some content other than the index page? Is there reason to do this?
Is it true that linking out of my new site to a high ranking site can help? Surely not?
Cheers for the help!
