Google does not show pages linked to my website, not even ODP!

I am new to posting on this forum so please bear with me.

I used to have good ranking with Google about a year ago, first place in most of my profit making keywords.

Life was good!.

One day my site just dissapeared from any search my traffic from google dropped to zero.
Even search queries with just my domain on it, would return other sites before my website!

I have slowly recovered and now I show up on the first or second pages for those keywords, but I have noticed that
Google does not recognize the existence of links from other sites to mine.

A search for "links:mydomain.com" returns zero. if you do a search for the typed url, you will see a buch of good related sites linking to mine.

I am listed in the Open Directory Project as well as other directories related to my business.

If you run a search for "myname" without the ".com" you will see a lot of sites that are linked to my homepage.

Am I banned or Penalized? How can I fix this?

Any Ideas?

Thank you

PS: I believe I can not post my actual domain but you guys can easily find out.

This sounds like the exact same thing I am dealing with. In may case we were likely banned. However, before you get too worked up... did you make any changes to the site before it was dropped?

Is there any hidden text (i.e.,same color as background, layed over images)?

That was quick, I like the new feature.
"I am new to posting on this forum so please bear with me".
This should set off the alarm. Action taken: Url removed until it can be verified.
