Why doesn't Google show in a search for links the Yahoo directory?

I noticed when checking the links to my site, the one in the Yahoo directory isn't listed. A quick check shows this seems universal. However, at: [google.com...]

"Webmaster Dos and Don'ts

Do:

Consider submitting your sites to our partner directories Yahoo! and DMOZ."

Curious that if they call this a partner directory, they don't seem to think its links are important, unlike the ODP.

Its bought Pagerank, and Google warns against mis-use of this ;)

I believe the links are all redirected?
Did they ever show up in the past?

Even so, it could be that Google still does grant Pagerank, or more frequent spidering (from the higher Pageranked Yahoo pages) for this specific directory.

That "Partner" bit might end any moment now?

Shakil,

I agree they do show up for the higher Pageranks.

rfgdxm1,

Was your site a recent addition?

My impression is that Yahoo! and ODP inclusion has benefits completely separate from PageRank, and that PageRank flows from the yahoo.com and dmoz.org sites just as it does from other places.

Google does not show all exisiting links when doing a back links search (compare the no. of links returned by Google with the links returned by AllTheWeb). As Shakil noted, they might show if the Yahoo! listing page has PR >= 4.

<added>The fact that some links don't show up does not mean that they are not counted.</added>

No. If you want proof, check my profile, and check the backlinks to my site. Then, using the obvious from my domain name as the search term, check the PageRank where my site is listed in the Yahoo directory. That directory page has a PageRank of 4. In fact, if you check the bcaklinks to the other 3 sites in that Yahoo directory category you'll find Google doesn't show them.

I have several sites and for most of them the Yahoo directory listing shows up in my Google backlinks... the only ones that don't are linked on a PR3 page on Yahoo's site.

I might not be understanding the question... but the partnership Google has with DMOZ is different then the one with Yahoo. Google is suppose to use both directories as seed for their index, but only the DMOZ directory is used in the Google directory.
