Google results opening in new window

Just did a search on Google and when I click on the links they open in a new window?

i was always under the impression, that you can choose this option by going to "Preferences" and then selecting:

then ticking = Open search results in a new browser window.

I just did a search here (Scotland). Page opens in same window as serp... have you perhaps altered your browser preferances?

It opens in the same window here in the US. I think it is your preferences.

Hmmmm... don't remember setting any preferences but, I've just tested again and it's back to normal. Spooooooky!
