Listing in Google is "Error Occurred While Processing Request"

This can't be good

Well, I've never seen this one before...

Google scanned one of my client's sites on the 31st, and it appears as though the web server timed out during their request. As a result, the listing in google appears with a title of "Error Occurred While Processing Request"

Ironically, they're still ranked #1 for the phrase they're interested in, but it doesn't look good. ;)

Other than sending an e-mail to help@google.com (which I've already done), is there anything else I can do???

Nothing you can do I'm afraid...

Just hang in there, it'll sort itself out with a little time.

Maybe it didnt like the quick fwd techniques used to goto to the into page. However there really isnt anything you can do, even a email to them may take up to 30 days for this kinda issue. Nothing life threatening, watch the traffic and let us know if the traffic this month decreased from last months. Would be nice to know, I imagine it would a little.

chameleon, am I right in guessing that the domain has been in Google a while and that the 31st was just a re-spidering?

NFFC - yes, that's right. They've been in there since Google began. It's just this past refresh where the problem occurred. Just a fluke I'm guessing -- based on what I can see from their "cached" page, it looks like the whole page didn't finish loading.

chameleon - I'm almost willing to bet that your traffic will stay steady or even go up. People alway have a 'curious' side. And I'm sure people will at least notice your listing.

An example: 2 weeks ago for our weekly email to our house list I forgot to change the subject line from the default 'Enter Subject Here'. My boss was pissed, but as it turned out we had the highest opens and click throughs for the year... Maybe our next subject line will be: No subject for you. 1 YEAR! :)

Well, I don't know what fixed it, but the listing is back to the way it should be today.

That was weird!

Not sure. Possibly. I do see that the bot swung through the site today:

Googlebot/2.1 (http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html)

Maybe that was it?
