What is the refresh cycle for google?

From reading the posts it seems uncertain. Is it weekly, monthly?..
or whenever the Google Gods deem appropriate?

The Googlebot recently paid me a visit. Does this mean I will appear
in the next refresh?

Google typically updates the entire index toward the end of each month, generally the 20th-25th. In between updates, brand new sites sometimes come and go, but that stabilizes with the main update. If Googlebot just crawled your site, it will probably appear in the coming update, although you may not get any PageRank until the following update. Tip: Your rankings will improve if you leave out cold milk and chocolate chip cookies for Ms. Googlebot. I use that technique very successfully. ;)

it's monthly (aprox). there's a schedule around here somewhere.

It is fairly regular(except for one time I think I remember it skipping a cycle).

Seems to be once a month. There was a theory of it being around the full or new moon, but I don't know how that turned out...

hello everyone.
Just a summary to the google updates. She usually starts crawling the higher pr sites, and works her down the food chain. She crawled us deep yesterday 2-4 a.m. MST, a few shallow crawls today. We sit at PR 5 this month, so, if I am assuming this to be correct she will be on her way to PR 4 next (?) correct me if I am mistaken.

I am guessing since we have been "tapped" with two or three google bot hits since the week prior, she was previously following inbound links to us from higher PR sites. Does this sound logical?

Just got my site crawled 2 days ago and one URL is already in www SERPS for "domainname" query.

Did google start updating on-the-fly ?

I can second that.
At the end of the last dance my profile site was tottaly removed from the index. It was deep crawled about 5 days ago and is now on www.

No PR showing though... still "current page is not ranked by Google"

Better that not indexed though.

Mine is a totally new site. Just got the domain two weeks ago and uploaded the site a few days ago.
