Duplicate content?

Can you help determin if this will be dupicate content? If so.......

There are three companies, one, two and three. They are infact separate companies, but they all work together on some projects. They decide, to show that they all work in conjuction, that they all want to have the exact same index page. From the index page, the vistor can click on a link to visit the individual company web sites (one, two and three).

So, to clear the air, when you type one.com or two.com or three.com the same page will appear. Behind this page will be the individual company web sites. They will all be on different hosting accounts, hopefully with a different IP address.

I hope this makes sense. My concern is that googlebot might visit the three domains, on seperate ip's, but see the same index page? Will this get us banned? Thanks for you input. Cheers!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Bluetuna, maybe to try and avoid the duplicate content is on the index of each company it give some description of that company so each index would be slightly different just with a link to the other 3 companies?

That is what I was thinking, maybe some differerent text on each page. The only thing is that it has to be somewhat hidden. This is mostly a graphic page.

Dont hide the text that is bad! Just put it something like this:

one .... two..... three
image... image... image
....discription........

Of course you may not have an issue at all if its only graphics maybe someone who knows a bit more about google can answer on that acourd.

I don't plan on hidding text, I just can't make it huge.

Just make it readable, this size is good I would say this would be a little harder to read so may not be as good. It will all come down to what looks the best and what the client is willing to do. Just make sure you explain what might happen with what ever they chose.
