PR0 because google doesn't like my hosting company?

I hope someone on this forum can help.

I don't know what the deal is. My sites were ranked fairly well, all had PR3's & 4's. I was working on linking to other good sites, and to generally increase my rankings. Now they are all PR0. Some of these sites have absolutely nothing to do with one another. I have no spam, no links to questionable sites, no weirdness at all. For some reason I've been handed the google web site death sentence and I have absolutely no reason as to why. The only thing I can think of is that they are all on the same commercial host. Would google PR0 all of my sites if they don't like my host?

Any ideas? Advice? Anything?

ciml,

What do you mean "when they have dates by them"?

I mean the 'Fresh' listings, (although Google doesn't write 'Fresh' next to them any more).

If when you are listed the listing has a date next to the URL in Google's search results then it behaves as a temporary listing, superseding the listing from the last update. When the temporary listing gets old (a day or two), you revert back to the update. If you weren't in the update, then you disappear.

certainly not the case with My pages....when the temp file gets old the listing just loses the date tag but the page stays.....

c1bernaught you had the same PR0 problem that I did, but something is happening on Google now my site is showing up on different keywords where I had a good ranking before, like I was No.1 on ##### and Now No.6 on that page on the same keywords, but still with a PR0 but maybe that will change to, before I was listed pages away from my keywords and now some sites around me have PR5-7 so I think my PR will change soon, well I hope so.

I hope the best for you.

My cache right now is from 29 Aug.

I can see now that my cache has PR4, but still 0 on the real page.

soapystar, if you were in at the previous update, then you revert back to it. If you weren't in the update, then you disappear.

ciml,

Thanks for the explanation.

Zeus,

I've been in and out for about a week now. I've been out for the past two days. When my listing does come back it's generally listed well, and on all three servers (www,www2,www3). I'm hoping that this bodes well for the next update.

I think both of us will do well next month. We can can only sit back and go for the ride. No amount of lamenting or worrying will make one bot (I mean "bit") of difference.

Good luck!

BTW: Work on your other SE listings. My traffic has increased 30%, on other SE's, because I have given them more focus, knowing that Google traffic cannot be counted on this month.

I did some other se opti. for about to month ago for Alta Vista and now Im allmost no.1 for every keyword I type, thats great, they also rank by theme thats good.

I did the opti for AV because I saw people complain about Googles update, pages was lost and PR0 sites, so now Im happy I did get in on AV, because this time the PR0 hit me.

good luck for you
