10 months ago I suddenly dropped from a PR.7 to PR.0 in Google and my site seemed to disappear entirely for a few weeks. Then it came back with a PR of 2 and showed no backwards links - despite the fact I had several hundred - thanks to that wonderful piece of software called Zeus, NOT!

Decided to join a couple of SE forums to get help and was told that "link farms" could be my problem. So out the window with the whole Zeus directory thingy and prune back to tightly themed reciprocal links only. Couple of mirror sites also deleted. Send some emails to G. Sit waiting for re-instatement HA! HA!

Come March - new host, new server - one which has a decent control panel so I can check my logs. Googlebot comes for an occasional visit
What is it looking for?? < links/themeindex.html > (that deadly signature of a Zeus directory) - but I got rid of that months ago HOW COME?? April May June same thing. They don't believe me!

[edit reason] Let's not go overboard on font sizes please. [/edit]

I understand your frustration kneelsit but Google penalties can last a long time.

I suggest that Googlebot probably requests that address because someone still links to it.
