Hi

I have a site that serves the UK only

does google post prelim uk updates anywhere? www2 or www3.google.co.uk don't exist...Or is it just filtered from google.com and you have to wait until it settles down?

Thanks

Hi CuriousWeb welcome to WebmasterWorld

The UK results are filtered from google.com so it's a case of waiting until the dance settles before you can see what impact the update will have

Google.co.uk used a filtered version of the google.com index. You will need to wait till www has settled down with the feed's from www2 and www3 and they new results will appear on the.co.uk serps.

If you want a prelim UK only search, you can.

Do a UK only search on www.google.co.uk. Once this has worked alter the url in your address bar. For instance I did a UK only search for "weather":

[google.co.uk...]

I altered this to

[www2.google.com...]

This gives me a UK only preview.

I tried it on my main keyword and voila! #3

last month I had exactly the same query/problem, but AOL UK specific was providing the prelim results before they actually got filtered to Google.co.uk

However this month this does NOT seem to be the case.

I am going to give the suggestion above a try.
