When a site is banned or you get a "grey bar", does Google continues to show the site's "Backward Links" and "Similar Pages"?

The grey toolbar doesn't always mean a site's been banned, there can be other reasons a site isn't listed. I just looked for a site with the grey toolbar, and there are no backward links or similar pages, it's not in the index.

Marcia, So what can you say about a site which is not in the index but still continues to show the "Backward Links" and "Similar Pages"?

Backwards links only show for sites with a PR4 or higher, so a site that is banned (or less than PR4) will not show links.

so a site that is banned (or less than PR4) will not show links

But in this case one of my site which was removed from the index last month, continues to show the "Backward Links" and "Similar Pages". Also before the site was removed it use to have PR6.....
Very strange ! Any comments plzzz...
