I have a site that sells 'Blue Widgets' if I do a 'Widgets' Page with lots of pages linked to with titles and optimised as 'discout pink widgets' , 'discount green widgets' etc.....all pages have some original content but are optimised for the above keywords....will i get in trouble at all????

Please use good titles when posting. The current "anything wrong" is not a good title. Please use a title that reflects the post content. It's ultra important for the busy forums. Thanks. (off to change the title).

To answer the question - there should be no problem with cross topic linking within a site.

I've use a similar thing with cheap and cheerful .co.uk's to generate some nice targeted links to some of my clients sites, for £50 (~$75) you get about ten domains which you can play with. I make sure that all of them stand up as sites in their own right and don't just point at my clients’ sites but their main purpose is to generate a little more traffic for my clients and give some nice targeted links. One thing to be careful of is to avoid cross linking between these sites, or be careful when you do, once you start doing this you have a link farm and that's a definite no no.

My viewpoint is that these sorts of sites already exist for my clients but are owned by third parties (affiliates). What I have done isn't any different to what others have done independently, I've just helped nature take it's course, so to speak.

Googles spam filters are fairly simple and don't pick this sort of thing up so you are fairly safe for the time being. I would just make extra sure that you are not breaking any of their rules. They don't explicitly say that you cannot own other domains that point at your own domain so in that sense you are fine.

good luck
