Why aren't I a Google UK site?

How do I set my country?

A search for "<my site's name>" - my site - returns www.<mysite>.com at number one on www.google.com

But, for a long time, <my site> hasn't appeared at www.google.co.uk as a UK site, only appearing in the US site.

Except now I'm appearing. Oddness.

How do you say "I'm a UK site"?

Hi
If your site is a .co.uk and/or is hosted in the UK then google will include it in the UK only search results.

It took a good six months for me to be included... I wonder why?

(.com, hosted in the UK)

Still, it seems I'm there now...

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, James.
(Make sure to read paynt's welcome post [webmasterworld.com])

The UK results are just a filter on the .com results. As Michael writes, it should list you if either your domain or IP is recognised by Google as UK.
