Over the weekend, I noticed that my Inktomi listings for all but a couple of my sites I manage disappeared from AOL. I assume the transition is in high gear to use Google results. So, I did a few searches and they aren't even close to Google's, so I'm wondering where they're coming from.

The first search I did listed the same website, but each of its subpages as different listings. Nice for them, they take up the first page. Crappy results for everyone else, though.

I tried a few other searches and it repeats pages within the same website over and over. One site has nearly two complete pages of search results. Why would AOL's results be so off?

I kind of think that the lack of clustering gives us an interesting insight into the rankings.

I believe it is effectively showing how many pages on a site rank higher for the relevant keyword/phrase than the highest ranked page of the next site.

I'm going to be using it as a tool while it is there. :)

I, as well, freaked out when i saw page after page of a competetors links appear one after another. I hope this is indeed something they are working on.
