Moving from 2nd page to 4th page in results?

This something to do with the dance?

Hi,
One of my websites has gone from being on the 2nd page of results to the 4th page of results for our main keyword. Is this something to do with the dance, or is it now permanent? Changes that I made to the site recently have only reinforced the original optimization for the main keyword. During the update the page has gone from PR4 to PR6, and also gained new incoming links.

HElp :)

There are alot of reasons why you could have fallen. Competitors links could have went up, you could have actually defeated yourself by trying to further optimize the page, google could have dropped one or two critical inbound link pages you had, and the price of corn in Chicago fell last week. Trying to figure out what causes sites to rise and fall in the rankings is a full time job. Welcome to the industry ;-)
