One Link Might Be All It Takes

Does link redundancy increase rank or not?

I have the chance to get an incoming link on either my associates home page, or he has even offered to throw us into his indicia links (which would be duplicated on every page of his 1000 page site).

Which should I go for?

Could a massive amount of incoming links from a single site hurt us?

I don't think it can hurt, try not to cross-link.

Some of our clients have our trigger on their sites (on every page) which links to our domain.

Never had any problems.

It ain't gonna hurt unless he is a bad neighbour i.e previously penalised.

If the pages he is linking from are high PR you are in a position to gain , possibly at his own expense though.
