Does reporting abuse work?

Just wondering if anyone's having luck reporting abuse. I have a group who is spamming the heck out of the engines, using hidden links that tie in hundreds of doorway sites. Their different sites sometimes take as many as the first 25 listings in response to various searches. I'm not ashamed, I'm turning these morons in.

I wouldent be ashamed either, I would report them to. It's not only costing you traffic, but it's effecting the quality of the Google results.
