I registered a new domain for a planned site that will take 3-6 months to get off the ground. I did not submit the domain anywhere.
I'm working on my other site and my developer needed access to the server, so I said he could play with the new domain to his hearts content while testing.
So he uploaded a copy of my main site to the new domain (It'll be there for four weeks and then deleted)
Anyway over the last week, somehow, googlebot has visited the domain and picked up about 50 pages which are identical to my main site.
Is there a way I can get this site removed together with any penalties for my main site before the next update? Will I be penalised?
NOW, with hindsight, I should've put up one of those robot.txt files, but hindsight ain't much use after the fact.
Is there ANYTHING I can do? Anything at all?
Or is this my latest lesson?

Phew!
I will do the no index thingy rather than delete the other pages....thanks for that.
I wonder how google found the domain though? I did a link check a while back and it wasn't listed anywhere. The only thing I can think of is that I have viewed the "test" site pages in my browser, which has the google toolbar, is that a possibility? ... That it followed my browsing pattern?
