I'm surprised at some of the questions. There were several that went right after the caching/copyright issues.

It should make for an interesting followup even in the "google love fest" of SlashDot

The answers should be interesting, Craig's responses always have a gaff or three.

That's probably because the caching issue is on everyone's mind after yesterday's Slashdot thread about the Internet Archive [slashdot.org]. It got kinda loud.

For the record, most slashdotters (myself included) come down firmly on the "caching is good" side of the argument. In general, they're actually quite concerned about the potential for overwrought lawsuits to disrupt the flow of information on the Web.

Craig Silverstein, Google CTO has answered questions from Slashdot readers on : [interviews.slashdot.org...]

It's a good read for Google-fetishists.

One interesting tidbit is that he dispels the "myth" that Google punishes sites hosted on virutal domains.

Just a small FYI :)

Enjoyable read from a webmaster/seo and just a technology enthuist point of view. Some good questions and answers there are a few that seo peepz may like. I even printed it off for later reading since i dont use my bookmarks ;)

Interesting. I always hope for more out of those, but realize what they can, can't and won't talk about.

Again a nice read!

What I find amazing is the way Google is keeping a good, friendly presence in the outer world, in spite of being the real search monopolist.

If I were the Venture Capital backers, I would make Google the exception to the rule of cashing within so and so many years, and refrain from IPO'ing as long as possible. Keep the University spin-off image, underdog to MSN's and Yahoo's billions as long as possible.

Still - good on Google doing this.....

Although there isn't something really new in the interview, he even *tried* the answer the question about Cindy...

I just want to say that I really like the link Silverstein included in the answer to the eigth question. Now there's a guy who recognizes genius when he sees it.
