Thought I would try my fave band of Google Gods before mailing them direct.
I changed server hosts due to some big problems about 6 weeks ago. I host several uk specific sites and since the change we have lost a good percentage of our referrals from google.co.uk.
After a bit of investigation I have found that my new host is based in Germany and as my sites all have .com addresses it has decided (due to IP I guess) that the site is German. If I search google.com for my listings I am there, if I search just pages from the UK in google.co.uk I am not there, if I search pages from Germany in google.de we are there!
Before you ask, I registered .com's as the .co.uk's were taken!
My clients have taken this well but of course want to be listed in .co.uk again.
Anyone know if a html tag will help Google or do you think I need to change servers again?
