Site appeared and vanished in 12 hours

Google site listing problems

I keep getting problems with one of the websites I maintain.

I ran a listing report for Google at 1.30pm. My site was ranking in the top 10.

I did another check tonight and the site had vanished. The site was fine up until 3 weeks ago. Ever since it appears for literally a few hours and then drops off the face of the earth. After a few days it comes back for a few hours

I cannot guess or understand why it is doing this!

The effect your seeing is most likley a jostling of indexes - it appears that Google is now using at least 2 symultaneous indexes. What country are you in?

UK. The competing sites around me do not seem to vanish though.

My site is still missing as of today.

How new is the website?

One of my sites is doing the same thing , welcome to the club.

The site has been running for well over 3 years!

It is literally in the last 4 weeks I have had this sudden massive vanishing display.
