Hi guys,

Can anybody explain to me the latest on how Google would be ranking it's SERPS?
Here's the deal: I am trying to sell a product, let's call it The Widget.
There are already about 1300 SERPS containing the word widget, but in a more or less different meaning than my Widget (which is a brand name). Most of these sites actually link to www.somesite.tld/widget.html which has developped some sort of a widget (unfortunately same name, but no other link between products)
I put a page online on my site: www.mysite.tld/subdir/widget.html just 10 days ago (give or take a few) and done nothing but design it more or less for google SERPS (which means mention Widget a couple of times and make it W3C standard)
I have no links going to my widget page

This page is currently ranks n°7 (!) in SERPS for the word "widget" (on more than 1300 results)

I'm not complaining, but: how does this work?

Do I have remarkable SEO skills that I am not aware of and should I start making money on them :-)?

I thought incoming links was the key for G-SERPS
Can anyone explain?
