Could my new host's ASP affect rankings?

I just switched to a new webhost who uses Chilisoft ASP and noticed that they do something different than my former host. Instead of it saying www.domain.com in the address bar it says:
http://www.domain.com/domain.com-asp//default.asp

I contacted the new hosting company and they replied back that its normal but it sure does not look normal to me. I am afraid google and yahoo will not like this and take this site out of the serps. It looks confusing to the user and the search engine so I am not sure why the hosting company does not try to fix this?!?

Just curious if anyone else has had this experience or I should just change hosts again and forget about it.

afaik, there's no reason you should have to have all of that stuff after your domain. i think it's how they have the server set-up. if they're telling you they won't change it, i might start looking for a new host...

I do not even think ive been to a website with all that in the URL. Maybe that is why they probably all get banned from the search engines... :(

I would suggest you change host. If you even have to point out a bug like this , whats around the corner...

It will also make your brand harder to market through engines as people may not readily be able to scan what domain they are about to click into.
