Banned or Not banned from Google.. How do we know?

Has anyone here retrieved information from google saying why their website has been banned?
We assume our website is banned and cannot get a proper answer. When we sent off questions regarding why our website has vanished from their search engine, we recieved an automated reply just like thousands of other missing website owners have recieved.

Has anyone actually recieved reason to their website being banned directly from google? Has anyone recieved an answer as to when their website would be possibly unbanned if banned? Last but not least has anyone appealed their website for being banned.

These are issues we have regarding our website listing in google. We would enjoy hearing what other businesses have experienced in regards to this issue.

Could it be cheap bots? Haven't ruled that out *lol* (kidding)
MSN and Yahoo seems to work. Odd... The best thing to do is not sit around talking about it, and continue doing business elsewhere. Until I see the site being crawled I will have to assume it is banned considering the html code is good and always was good when it was crawled (hasn't changed really).

It seems odd that you go on and on about the process of being banned and reincluded, but apparently aren't in the slightest bit curious as to why you were banned in the first place. You aren't doing the same thing in a couple of other dozen fora are you, by any chance? What's the plan, to assemble hordes of webmasters to storm the plex with pitchforks and torches?

Someone should lock this thread down and throw away the key...

I had come to the conclusion there there was an ulterior motive behind all this whinging and whining however I now have a new theory...cdnmarket is suffering from a delusional, lack of attention disorder and is just jiving everyone around wasting our time, effort and intelligence...the person is clearly barking mad!

Something strange is going on w/ my site. When I do a

site:domain.com

I get a

Your search - site:domain.com - did not match any documents.

But, when I do a search w/ quotes for a page title on this site, the full URL and link to the product page does come up.

So, why doesn't this show up w/ the site command? This page is obviously indexed, it's showing up in the search results...

My web site used to have between 1 000 - 1
500 unic visitors/day via Google. A couple of months ago the traffic from Google stopped (less than 100 unic/day). I´m used to that sites do this kind of dropping during updates and then get back to business again. But this partcular site is still performing very bad.

What could have happened to my site? The only thing I can think of that could affect ranking is that the site has not been updated for very long. but could this affect ranking that much?

I mailed Google and they gave me this answer:

Hello.

I have near 10 Websites running online now and google seems to act strange with me. My website <snip> does not have a ranking at all. It shows only one page on the crawled page while my other site <snip> which is literally having the same code and functionality ranks 5 and has all 110 page indexed. My other website, <snip> which is ranked 4 and has incoming link count of 60 hardly gets 50-60 visitors a day and worst yet, I hardly get any hits on my website <snip> even though my ranking is 4. From this if anyone could help me out... Please do so... <snip>

You cannot count of google sending you traffic. You have to find several ways to attract visitors to your website.

Why do two sites with the same code have different rankings..... different content competing for different keywords. That would be my guess.

I've seen the same type of thing happen to others before with their websites. It seems they get crawled, yet buried in the results, making it hard for you to get traffic. When you yourself search for your domain you neerly have to type the exact domain name in just to find your website. It seems your keywords are dampened. Your website is found on page 100, 200, 300, or further. No matter how you optimize your still impossible to be found. Yet in the other search engines your in the top 10 for simple searches.

Well, Google never displays more than 1000 results, so unless you've set up your preferences to display less than 10 results per page, you *can* argue with your very own eyes, because you cannot have seen what you say you have!

Something happened 17.12. The site that has been performing bad jumped back again with over 2 000 + unic visitors/day. Another site of mine seems to have been hit by the same "filer" or whatever becouse that sites traffic dropped dramatically the same day.
