I sold a domain and put its content into a new domain. The old domain has framed forwarding to a semi related site. I managed to bring most of the links with me. But as the domain was sold I could not put in a 301. The site was for me a throw away that i used to link to my main site.
Oddly now for some of my less competitive terms my old domain and content are showing in the SERPS as a supplemental result. The PR has remained intact even though there is no content in the links and locations specified. In fact there is no content there at all ( framed forward) Sometimes I see the words " supplemental result" showing beside the link.
Now how odd is that? My old domain that does not have any content still shows in the SERPS five months later, PR and Cache intact.
Also i put the content into a new domain that i have managed to build to a modest PR3...was this my error. Me thinks it is , but would value opinion on it.
Should I now, dump the content on the new domain , i am starting a slip for some terms on the main domain ( the links still pass from the new domain to the main domain ).
