I am redoing my pages. I am just changing the colors so far BUT have a question if i change the locations of items on my main page like at the top of the page I have a information about who we are and what we do . If I move that farther down the page will google still see it as the same as before or not. I have read that the spyders only read so far down a page. One other question I had I made one change on the orginal page I have now which was a indent the paragraph which made it a block qoute and I got pushed back 4 pages. Was that block quote a problem for google or just the bounce was just a bounce?

I was moving up BUT then something happened

Can't see where a block quote would cause a major shift. More likely some backlinks got updated.

I have recently completely redesigned my index page and site. It's a great opportunity to go back to usability and SEO basics.

You can be quite scientific matching your search terms (keyword combinations) with on page factors like in title, in heading, in bold, etc. It's amazing how wasteful the old page was - you'll prbably find you can get a lot more out of one page!

Good luck!
