weird search results with the site: option

I ran the follwoing query to see how deep google index my page

site:www.widget.com

google returns me pages of reults that look like:

www.widget.com/www.widget.com/index1.html

what does that mean? I Google misinterpretting links on my page. HTML wise, you get the www.widget.com/www.widget.com effect when you forget the http:// in link's urls.

Can somebody explain this?
