Hello,
I have a site that ranked very well for some very competitive keywords, had PR7. I then launch and aggressive link and other search engine marketing campaign which seem to have backfired. The site has now been downgraded to PR3, does not rank for any of the keywords it used to rank well for, when you type the sites name into Google, its returns the website full url for example www.website.com as oppose the index page with title tag and description like Google does for other site.

I have undo most of the think I think could have caused this problem but 2 PR updates later not luck. Help suggestions gratefully accepted.

If you PR7 had been the result of a purchased link(s) from high PR sites, google may have blocked those sites from passing PR.

It sounds like you're a victim of the hijackers to me.

Do a search for inurl:yoursite.com and see how many sites are linking to yours using tracker2.php

Out of curiosity I did a inurl:mysite.com for a couple of my sites and I see a few sites linking to mine using tracker2.php

My sites are not banned but this makes me nervous and I cant find any info on tracker2.php anywhere.

Please give some more detail on what this means. Thanks

A "drop" in PageRank simply means that Google has discounted links. A "loss" of PageRank means you have been penalised which is extremely rare these days.

I think you are righ, I copied a block of text from my homepage and posted it in Google, the site that come out top have exactly my head tag, meta tags etc etc (its a site in a different industry to me) the url look something like this: [thesiteinquestion.com...]

If you click on the link it takes you to my website. Its seem my site has been hijacked, how can I recover from this?

Thanks

When doing an inurl:www.mysite.com, what does this result mean?

Hey Guys, I went from a pr4 to a pr 5 in the last PR update. But i am being constantly spiderend and unspidered out of google this past 2 months. Whenever my site is completely in, the problem is that my keywords are no longer a 2 or 3 ranking, they are like a 100. Since the Sept 24, google dance this has been going on and my traffic from google is pretty much nohting at this time. anyone know what i can do?

thanks
