This morning I saw a change in G that I made yesterday. I typed it in again and it was gone. I thought oh the data centers are not updated. I put a 2 in front of the www and then a 3 like I always do and every time the address bar went back to www without the number. Is this new?

ogletree..

I believe you can still see variables if you use the IP number instead of the www2 / www3

www2 - 216.239.57.103
www3 - 216.239.57.104

At least until recently I was seeing variations using these from the regular old www

www - 216.239.57.99

OOPS!...looks like now(just checked again):
www2 - 216.239.57.104
www3 - 216.239.57.104

Looks like they have really, finely disabled the "look" into
the updates...
