PR Counting

Do /index.php?redwidget and index.php?bluewidget count as two backlinks?

Good Day,

I have noticed that if index.php has a certain PR, then index.php?redwidget and index.php?bluewidget would have the same PR. Can you confirm that?

Also, knowing that in Google SERPS you would find index.php?redwidget and index.php?bluewidget as two different pages, do they count really as two different pages with respect to PR calculations?

Thanks,

The pages don't have the same PR, but it seems that the toolbar doesn't distinguish between these pages.

Yes.

How to check their real PR then?

Enter the webpage into Google and click the link, this will show their "real" PR... or what G is telling us is real ;)

The only way to get an estimate about the real PR is from the PR which is transferred to other pages.

I just found a "working" remote tool that determines webpages Google PR, they also say that this is done without sending or passing anything to Google (I dont know how would that work, but this is something between them and Google!).

The point is, I check index.php, index.php?redwidget and index.php?bluewidget through Google toolbar to find out that their PR are 7, 7, 7. I did the same using that remote tool to find out that their PR are 7, 5, 5 (which is logic!).

Ok, everything is clear now. They do count as two backlinks but their PR arent the ones that Google toolbar reflects. Do you think that Google would let that "flaw" in their popular toolbar? Is it a feature and not a bug? Am I paranoiad?

Cheers,
