my site ranks #80 when i search for my brand

this is really confusing to me, but my site ranks horribly when i search for my own brand! it has been online for 6 months and my homepage PR is 5, with many PR 4 subpages... lots of inbound links and so on...

my titles and headers are optimized... what could be causing my site to rank so poorly? when i search for my brand different directiories where my site is listed come up... this cant be right

could it be because my site is primarily image-oriented (my niche demands it)? i have about 230 words of text on my index... is that too little?
i might have used a bit too much keyword repetition on my deeper pages but the index seems ok... why could it possibly rank so low?
