I don't like the sound of that, last time someone asked me that I told them and next day they hacked into a competitors ftp and changed the coding on a couple of pages (UK estate agents are brutal!).

Im not a hacker - i know a lot of things that would PROBABLY remove a site from the Serps quickly, just was interested to hear if anyone did anything dodgy in the past and got penalised for it.

I do agree with coosblues, I am watching Google SERPs it wont relate to what Google says. Good back links and not spammy technique, many site has very megre number of backlinks and they include excess keywords in title and metas but still they rank.

Any commnet, I too wont agree that relative links is the factor in Google.

use any real bad methodology (keywordstuffing, hidden text, ...) and send an email to [e-mail] and ask for re-inclusion when your site is still in. Should do the job pretty fast. ;)

Google hasn't shown they are particularly good at finding hidden stuff yet. I think that would be the slow route to getting banned, so give it a shot.;)

in your index.html put almost the same exact UI as the google home page, use their logos but direct all the traffic to a pay per click SE, then run an email spam to all of the harvest google internal emails and the google employees private emails (univ students email and emails found on SE research papers).
you will get banned ASAP and also legal procedure will follow fast :->

1. Download the entire website of others
2. Upload this site to your server
3. Notify your competitor about your greate job
4. Wait DMCA email from google.

Go to google keyword suggestion tool and type in few of your keywords.

Then copy and paste the keywords into the bottom of your index page (put them in a div or table).

Then change the colour of your div/table to the same colour of your keywords.

Wait for Google to crawl your site and update their index. (you need to wait a bit longer for the "real" update, flux don't count).

Hope you still got PR and rank somewhere around 998.

p/s making the text size 1px will help too.

when you make your page, make sure to use the deprecated html formatting methods, since it's much easier for google to read that stuff.

Then link to every spam site you can find, link to every prominent hacker site you can find, then throw in as many links to sleazy porn sites as possible.

add about 100 keyword stuffed internal links to each page, make it about 3 pages.

Then for good measure do server side googlebot user agent detection and feed the googlebot even more keyword spam.

something like that should do it fairly well I think.

Of course with the way I've been seeing more and more directories coming up in google lately you'll probably end up being top 10 :-)

here is a method that works,

1. take a domain with already an established PR
2. name it google sucks, and describe the fact that google can not handle hidden text, stuffed keywords etc. and put all of these techniques to work in the home page as well
3. place a press release about the site and the fact that it proves that google can not handle these things , mention the name google a few times and also their STOCK ticker symbol

once it get's on the wire, google PR department will call managment and they will issue en escalation to the spam team and your site will be banned imm.
