Different Domains for different languages

Following the information I found in this Forum i registered three Domains to transfer the different language versions which are currently running on the same account.

However I have 2 doubts:
1) If the position does depend on how many visits has hte site, I would loose this advantage splitting the web site in 3 different domains.

2) I have two possibilities for the hosting configuartion.
The first is to put up single account for each domain on my server (however always the same IP) and run them sepperatly.

The second would be to set up the domains in 1 account and direct them to the corrisponding language folder.

Could somebody tell me which solution is better for the positioning and less dangerous for appearing as mirror sites.

Also, is it wise to point from each page to the corrisponding site in the other two languages or could I get banned for this by the robots?
