OK, so I'm a dork of the first magnitude, and I hope I've made you all smile.
Just one question - does anyone have an estimate of the time period Google will leave before it indexes it. Will it be the same time as if it were a fresh site, or now I've punched the Googlebot on the nose, will it be more reticent about returning?
Thanks!
DerekH
Or try adding a few more pages of content, link them and see GB coming sooner. It's also an advantage having more pages on a site, so don't waste your time waiting, build pages with good content instead. :)
I did the same dorky thing on a site of mine. In fact I went you one better, I did it twice on the same site.
Mine was hand_made by me and used as a DW template and I did the same thing - left the noindex in. Could NOT figure out why the site wasn't getting indexed. Decided to check and there it was. I took it out on pages, not realizing what was "editable" or not, and uploaded again.
You guessed it - still there the second time.
There's no problem with them coming back again, it'll be good to go, and as long as there's a link from a frequently refreshed page it won't take long. Also, it can't hurt to submit, it only takes a few seconds.
