Why the difference in backlinks and allinurl results

I am really confused how a site can be found link to my site in the alllinurl but can not be found in the backlinks.

any ideas?

Also I have a "links" section on my site that uses 301 redirects to get the user to the link but google doesn't show them as as outbound links. Does the link have to be a direct link to be counted as an link in google?

allinurl:widgets basically shows all pages that have "widgets" somewhere in their url, no matter if they link to a page about widgets or hosted on a domain with widgets in it

link:widgets.com shows links that point to the domain widgets.com which is mostly completely different to the allinurl:-command
