Page rank but site pages do not appear?

I created a site a few months ago, but have never had any pages indexed. Now, all of a sudden, the site shows PR4 on the Google toolbar, but when I search for the URL, still not a single page appears to be indexed. Can anyone explain this to a novice?

I cannot explain but I experienced the same. After PR there was some time before pages got higher position in index. I did not followed this effect closely but it seems the delay was several weeks (less than a month).

Probably index follows PR and they are calculated on different computers.

The strange thing is that my site is not indexed at all. Not a single page. I've got half a dozen sites and when I link a new site from my busiest site, the new one always gets spidered quickly and at least a few pages indexed. But this one has been up for months and no indexing. Yet, it's showing PR4 today? Go figure :-)
