Measuring google backlinks

Critaria for displaying backlinks by google

Hi,
My website shows only 70+ backlinks in Google. But I've submitted my site over 500+ directories & search engines and the site have its presence over there.
i) Why did they all are not showing in google backlinks, although you can see them by this search query -> mydomain.com -site:mydomain.com
ii) Google is not only showing the sites which are having PR 3+ but also displaying those sites which have below PR 3 or even PR 0, in the backlinks from my site. That means google is not longer is taken consideration of the PR in the backlinks. Then, what is the critaria to be appear in backlinks?

First - submitting to 500+ isn't the same as included in 500+.

Third - Google only shows a sampling of backlink above PR4 and not all... but this does does mean they are not included.

I wouldn't concern yourself with the "number of"... as the volume isn't as good as the quality.

This is wrong! Google has been showing PRO and a lot of links under PR 4 since the last 2 or 3 backlink updates. In fact, for many people the high PR backlinks are not showing.

You can not count on what Google is showing for backlinks. Get your backlink count from Yahoo.

I have a site that is PR3 and has back links from 4 sites that are PR3 or less and they all show in google. The site has been online for 3 years. So I assume that it is grandfathered. Otherwise my other sites that are below PR4 show nothing in google at all for backlinks. Yahoo is a the best source that I have found for backlink checks.

Yeah, the part about Google showing only a sample of backlinks is true. The PR4 restriction no longer applies.

What would be the search-term to check with Yahoo for the backlinks?

Looking at the number of backlinks or even taking it as metric doesn't lead very far.

Google's display is randomized at best, and if yahoo shows a backlinks it doesn't mean anything for google.

It's still PR4 my friends! The fact that Google has not updated PR in 90 odd days (since June 22nd) but has updated backlinks 3 times (I believe) - they are all PR4! ;)

Any wagers? - Sorry I'm right! ;)

I'm not familiar with IPOs from a law point of view, but Google is so silent it's staggering. Not even a PR update.
