Backlinks shown by google have not reflected real (PR4+ or otherwise) backlinks for some time.

How do you know that google is not counting them?

Just because a link is not in the backlink sample that Google choose to shoe does not mean that Google is not counting it, or not.

Google still counts them, while simply not to show them, according to GoogleGuy.

What do you that link: can not be worked any more? You can not use this command to find out all of backlink in google index.

Simple answer: NO. I am aware of cases where links from dmoz.org pages with a PR7 don't show on Google with the link: command. The link: command on Google is broken. Possibly on purpose, as few other than webmasters and SEOs actually use it.
